OCD, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, is characterized by unwanted, intrusive thoughts (obsessions) coupled with mental or physical rituals or acts (compulsions) aimed to reduce the anxiety of those obsessions.
In truth, OCD is one of the more trivialized mental illnesses often tossed out as an adjective for Type A, perfectionist personalities.
