We love this reframe from Frame Therapist Jennifer Oh... This is what we call switching from external focus of control to internal focus of control. Imagine changing the focus of control from external (parents) to internal (us). You are in control of change NOT your parents. The security is within you.

This doesn't mean what you experienced growing up wasn't real or that it was ok. It's not.

But, do you want to remain the way that you feel now? Or do you want to be content and at peace?
